I have to tell you, the very first little bit of this is clouded by

1) It kind of bothered me that Dean was dreaming about having sex with Lisa. Not because it was sex with Lisa, but because it wasn't crazy bendy sex. This might seem backwards, but if you recall my reaction to episode 1, I noted that they both slept together fully clothed. It makes me think that they didn't have a very sexual relationship, so why would he be dreaming about it... Dean has nightmares, not cosy sex dreams. And, contrary to what the writers want us to believe, Dean didn't lose his edge after a year off... I find myself wanting them to kill Lisa off just to get rid of the weak Dean they're trying to get us to swollow.
2) Where the Wincest comes in: Sam paid some girl to have sex, and if you noticed, she had green eyes, just like Dean. (Or, Sam had sex with a girl and paid her for information or something, but the point stands). Also, Jared Padeleki has really been working out... Looks like married life suits him (or something).
3) This made me laugh, but the first cop totally exploded like a vampire in Trueblood. It was pretty gross. All three deaths were, but it's gotten to the point where that kind of thing doesn't phase me. I'm not sure if anyone else saw it, but there was this video circulating around for a while about violence in Television. A lot of people watched it and commented on how far they could make it through before they had to stop. Towards the end they included the scene from "A Very Supernatural Christmas" where the pagan gods pull the nails out... I watched the whole thing without blinking. I'm thinking it's the same way I don't notice sexism in TV. (Speaking of sexism, Jim Butcher has a great line in Storm Front when Harry Desdon says he doesn't want to treat women like "smaller weaker men with breasts.")
4)Dean is getting back into the sibling rivalry/playfulness. He hates on Sam's car, because of course he would. He races Sam. He think's Castiel taking out Sam's car is a silver lining. And then Sam is a bit of a dick... We all know there's something wrong with him. There are theories as to what's up. My favourite right now is that Sam is under some angelic influence. God might have brought him back, but secretly I'm hoping for Lucifer!Sam (or Slucifer, as I like to call him). That said, maybe it's just that Raphael brought Sam back to re-rail the apocalypse, and Sam's actually suffering hard core from the effects of Hell.
Or Sam is actually a Changeling.
You may not have noticed, but I'm hooked on this whole fairy thing...
5)ZOMG! Castiel!
6) It's Dean's first real case after leaving Lisa, and the first thing he wants to do is call Cas.
7) Sam says Cas won't come, but he shows up for Dean because "They share a strong bond." There bitches (i.e.

Secretely, I just think Castiel is still annoyed by the sound of Sam's voice.
8) Castiel cracks a joke about Moses, and uses air quotes ridiculously. More importantly, though, is he ever BAMF! He takes a guy out through the window!
9) I take exception to their saying angels don't buy souls. I posit that there are many angels who have. Crowley and Azazel are perfect examples. That said, it might just be my head!canon getting in the way.
10) More importantly, though, Castiel is seriously messed up. He forces himself to torture a small boy for information (much like he asks Dean to torture Alistair in "On The Head Of A Pin" back in Season 4). You can tell he doesn't want to, but he has to. It makes you wonder what the hell is going on to make Castiel so inhuman again.
11) But then, he tries to convince the other angels to stop attacking him. I love his reaction to having to kill the angels in Balthazar's house. (Don't get me started on my small but growing love for Balthazar. I just hope they don't try to get him to replace Gabriel). He's so heartsick about it, and you know he's not as inhuman as he wants to be. He's doing his best in an impossible situation. I can't wait to see where they take it.
12) Lastly, I like that Dean finally calls Sam on his bullshit. Next episode looks equally epic.
On a side note, everyone should go watch this Castiel-centric video, which features an awesome song by Florence and the Machine. I'm kind of in love with them, and this video, now.
