SPN Premiere

I watched the premiere of season six, and on the whole, I actually liked it. I hated the finale of last seasons, because I thought the whole seasons built up an epic fight, and I was left feeling extremely underwhelmed.
I've been busy commenting on my flist's responses to the season premiere, but I thought I should probably make my own comprehensive post. There are some spoilers for rumours I heard from a friend but never verified about different kinds of mythologies they might be including in this season.
First off, I loved the opening montage, as mentioned before. It fit in with my head!canon perfectly. It looked like Dean was using Ben as a replacement for Sam (in the sense that it was someone he looked after and protected).
Now, lets talk about Lisa.
I actually liked her character. I loved how Dean slept in his clothes with Lisa. For someone who always came across as such a sexual being, his relationship with a super attractive woman comes across as very non-sexual. I also love how Dean lies to her about hunting stuff, and that he keeps holy water and a gun under the bed, and that he's got a devil's trap by the door. It all adds up to painting a vivid portrait of Dean only being there because he promised Sam. What I loved most about Lisa, though, is that she wanted Dean to be around because he was a good role model for Ben, and not because she thought he was her "one true love." It tells us that no matter how messed up Dean was (with the drinking, and the nightmares) he still took great care of Ben. Finally, I actually liked that Lisa didn't argue with Dean when he said they needed to get out of the house, or stay with Bobby. The previous point shows Lisa isn't an idealist, and here we see that she's also not stupid. She isn't a strong, kick ass character (like Ellen) who can take care of herself in supernatural situations. She is a strong woman who can support herself, her son, and a fucked up Dean, and she's willing to except when she has to let a man defend her.
Sure, SPN always has the habit of making women out to be weaker, but in this case I can read it the way I like, and I'm okay with that.
I make a terrible feminist.
A lot people hated the interaction between Dean and Sam this episode, which kind of makes sense. The way I saw it, Dean was thrown for a loop, and then so angry that everyone kept Sam being alive from him. As for the lack of connection between the boys, it's pretty obvious to me that there is something seriously fucked-up with Sam. I don't think he knows anything about the Campbells' plot (because the totally have something devious going on), but there's something off, and it completely explains the non-reaction we see with him.
What I would like to see in this season:
More Castiel
Castiel not knowing Sam's been brought back. Because in my head!canon, he would totally have told Dean if he knew.
Castiel, Dean and Sam teaming up with the fairies to gank God!Chuck. Possibly getting Death in on it. Because seriously, I loved Death. I would love to see Death reap God.
I feel better now. Back to more productive things.
