Our Very Supernatural Weekend
For those of you following

Here's a recap of what happened between July 22nd and July 25th:

We started our weekend off with a trip to the local pub, where we ordered Strongbow, our drink of choice. We once drank a pub out of Strongbow.

We ordered food with the impression of making Dean proud.

Why yes, the slice of bacon on my cheese burger IS as thick as the patty.

We were defeated by the sheer amount of food.

We hit up a college party with the law students who had just written their last exams of the year. Somehow I don't picture Sam doing things quite the same way.

And then there was Pumpkin Peanut Butter Cake, inspired by this fic by

Day 2 of our Supernatural weekend got off to an auspicious start with delicious breakfast burritos and extra strong coffee.

We watched the first disc of season one, and then, at a respectable hour, we had Bloody Mary's while we watched Bloody Mary. Or rather,

In honour of Sam's reunion with college friends, we had pizza and beer, college staples.

Next was a trip to Detroit, because that's where it all ends.

But really it was because I insisted we go to Steak'n'Shake. I wanted to go to an actual diner and order crap diner food that was actually pretty delicious.

I told

We had cake and ice cream with some sparkling wine for Mary when we watched Home.

When we saw Meg again, we had to drink our demon blood cocktail: 1 oz vodka or rum in a glass of blood orange and mango juice.

Season One finale was enjoyed with the Yellow Eyed Demon; 1 oz black Sambuca poured over lemonaid and Limoncello, served with marachino cherry. It was probably the tastiest drink we made.

Continuing with our unhealthy eating to make Dean proud, we indulged in diner-style baked french toast. And yes, there was amaretto in our coffee. On Saturday, with the exception of picking up lunch, we stayed inside and had a drink an episode.

We toasted to John's last living moments with a little Miller time of our own.

We drank

Rewatching episodes is made so much better when you find hints and alternate meanings because you know what's to come. We had ameretto coke floats with the Trickster.

Pizza and beer again, this time for Victor Hendrickson, because what else would an overworked FBI agent who can't get a break on the Winchester case have time for?

We had a wholesome salad and mimosas this time for Mary.

Probably the best burn ever, we mixed equal parts Goldschlager and Jagermeister to create Hellfire, and with that we wrapped up Season Two.

On Sunday we plowed our way through Season Three, picking only our favourite episodes to watch. We had cheap Canadian beer for the Ghost Facers (because what else could they afford?), and honoured Dean's last day alive with a slice of delicious Strawberry Rhubarb pie with ice cream.

We wrapped up our weekend with the Season Four premier, just so we could see Castiel. We tried to drink our way through a liquor store for Castiel, but we could only get so far. We didn't have his angelic constitution.

Honourable mentions should go to Bobby, for whom we drank whiskey, the whiskey sours we consumed for Sam and Dean, since we didn't want to stomach straight whiskey, the law students, for whom we stomached Canadian and straight rum, and Zachariah, who gets the worm at the bottom of the bottle of tequila we never drank.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit
2.5 tbsp vegetable oil (or 1/2 cup butter/margarine
1/4 cup granulated white sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 tsp vanilla extract
1.5 cup pure pumpkin puree
1/2-3/4 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup buttermilk
2.5 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp clove
In a large bowl combine liquid ingredients and beat well. Combine dry ingredients and sift into wet. Beat well.
Pour batter into two well greased 9 inch round cake pans and bake for 40-50 minutes, or until a tester comes out clean.
Goes well with caramel or cream cheese frostings.
Quotes worth mentioning:
1) "Because of course she did!" (refering to the Impala)
2) "Fuck [something]! Right in the face!"
3) "Salt lines; better than a locked door."
4) In Tall Tales, the professor says, "I respect you too much."

5) "Drink everytime Sam gets choked."
6) "Those are the people who just lazied themselves to death."
7) "I find this humerus."
