More on real life

So, S's wedding was on Saturday, and it was a huge success. Initial weather reports called for a 90% chance of rain, but on the day of, it was sunny all day and didn't start raining until nearly 11pm. There are a lot of great photos taken :)

There was a bit of drama regarding one of the bridesmaids being unable to leave the US to attend the wedding, but the replacement bridesmaid was nice and fun, so all was good.

Day of, we went to the salon to get hair and make-up done, got the bride's nails done, grabbed a quick lunch from William's and got ready at the bride's parent's place. The ceremony was nice and short, and the groom cried, which almost set the whole wedding party off. Great reception with fun DJ, tasty food and an awesome cake. I caught the bouquet, got to lead the conga line through the hall, and flirted with the cute bartender (as per my usual).

And throughout the entire day, I managed to avoid slapping the troublesome bridemaid K, who I was once very good friends with, but have since realized is incapable of thinking about anyone but herself. She didn't buy the bride a single drink at the bachelorette, was late to the bachelorette, didn't help with the hall set-up (because she was busy holding flowers for the two florists >.>), didn't come back to get ready with the rest of us at the house pre-wedding, and the final straw was that she didn't bother to stick around post-wedding to help take down the hall, instead leaving at 11:30 to go out to the bar with the rest of the old high school friends.

And I didn't slap her.

On the plus side, I will never have to deal with her again now.

On the other plus side, my ex's date ditched him for another guy at the wedding, which made me snicker just a little.

In other real-life news, I've started doing bootcamp, and I think it's going to be painful but fun. I'm also thinking of doing some web tutoring this summer. Anyone know if it's worth while using Paypal?
